About 11 or 12 years ago, my roommate attacked me while I was in the bothroom. I called 911. For some reason I still do not know now, the police officer also gave me a citation. Since he hired lawyer, the court pointed a public defender for me. At the end, the public defender told me that my record would be cleared in two weeks. She did not explained to me what I was charged and convicted or whether I was charged and convicted. I contacted the court to ask a court record and the the letter says no record could be found. I understangd that I have to report this on the N400 form but I really need you help on how should I report this. I will answer yes to part 10 D16 and attach a explaination. I do not know whether I was charged and/or convicted. So how should I answer 17 and 18? How should I answer the question about why I was cited? Can I say "please see the attachment"? I really appreciate your help!
