CIBA....PLease help giving ur valuable advise!!

Ciba,
I am in a tricky situation and I don\'t know whom to believe..the information from different IIO\'s is not consistent and I dont know whom to beleive..
FIRST ENCOUNTER

When I first talked to an IIO last week I have been told that My FP were received on Aug 17 and our case was assigned to an officer on Aug 20, 2001 Then last weekend we received second FP notice scheduled on Oct 4 (our first was Aug 2)
SECOND ENCOUNTER

Day before yesterday(08/28) I called again and talked to an IIO to find out our FP status and came to know that our FP was allright and our case has already been assigned..
THIRD ENCOUNTER

TODAY...MOMENTS BACK WHEN I TALKED TO AN IIO HE WAS MENTIONING THAT OUR FP WERE RECEVIED BUT THE CASE IS NOT
YET ASSIGNED TO AN OFFICER. I TOLD THAT LAST TWO TIMES WHEN I CALLED PEOPLE MENTIONED THAT THE CASE HAS ALREADY BEEN ASSIGNED. HE IS NOT SURE WHEN THE CASE WILL BER ASSIGNED AND ACCORDING TO HIM IT MIGHT EVEN TAKE MONTHS. I HAVE NO CLUE AS WHAT\'S HAPPENING WITH INS.

Don\'t worry I had exactly the same situation 6 months ago.

I was in exactly the same situation.

First call. Your FP\'s have been received case assigned to officer. Should be adjudicated in two weeks.
Second call. Your FP\'s have been received but case is in holding area waiting to be received.
Third call. FP\'s haven\'t been received.

Numerous more calls got the same useless answer as #3.
Finally got an officer who looked into both systems and told me FP\'s had been received from FBI on date XXX, but date was before I even did my FP\'s !!!. Didn\'t want to argue though.

Called numerous more times and got useless answers.

Finally got an officer who looked into the system, said the dates didn\'t make sense and said would look into it. Two days later officer took my case off the shelf and had it adjudicated.

I think that even if I didn\'t persist eventually it would have wound its way through the system.
