    Hi Linden,
I was in exact same situation- wife got FP notice and I did not. (I was principal applicant). Here is what I did: I waited a week or so and went to San Jose INS office, showed them my wife’s and son’s FP notice and ask for print out for me. The officer gave me FP printout and we went to FP office (it is a separate entity from INS ) and took (gave) fingers print 5 weeks before scheduled FP day. This happened February 2001, now I am a happy camper – got my case approved June 8th!

Hope this helps and good luck.

    Murjo.

The similar questions have been asked/answered many times.
The answer is yes, you can request finger print notices at
a local INS office, if one of the married couple gets a
notice, but the other does not. This situation presents
a very strong reason for requesting FP notice.

Murjo did this after reading successful stories posted
by a few folks. I beleieve there is an aticle in Personal
Experiences describing this.

What time do you have to go to the local INS office?
Is there a seperate line than those for Passport stamping?

Thanks
