CIBA and other GURUs please help!!

Ciba and others,
My ND is 04/19/2001 and I did FP on 07/19/2001 and the results were approved and sent to INS on 07/20/2001.
After a month, today I called INS to find out my FP status and after waiting for 30 min I could speak to an IIO, who is kind enough to answer my questions...She asked my WAC# and mentioned that the FP were received on Aug 17, 2001 and were assigned to an IIO on Aug 20.
In my excitement I forgot to ask abt my FP status (OK or not)...

1) IF the case was assigned to an IIO, can I assume everything (FP status) is alright?
2) How many days it might take for the approval once the case is assigned to an IIO?

Please answer my above questions/...

Raj .. you are close man. keep your fingers crossed. Do not worry about FP as most of the times it;s ok. Hey BTW what\'s your receipt # ??

Raj,

   If FBI confirms dispatching your finger print results,
you can safely assume they are OK. As for the time of
approval after finger prints, it varies, but most cases
are approved within three months. Just don\'t get too
excited. Oftentimes IIOs tell you that your case is
assigned to get you off the phone.

True but..

Ciba,
I just called to find out the FP status and without asking anything she(IIO) herself mentioned that our case was assigned to an officer.
The first sentence I told her (after Hello Maam) was "I was very much excited to talk to u" for which she laughed for a while and then answered my questions..
