Here goes my symphathetic case..
I got my passport stamped on Sep 5 (3 months and 10 days back) in Sanfrancisco, CA.
Till now I haven\'t received the actual card.

Next week I am moving to a different apartment complex and just now talked to an
IIO to update my address.

After taking my WAC# she told me that something happened to my case on DEC 14 (today)
and she is not sure what it is?

I think they might have ordered the card..but my question is where will the cards
be mailed?? to my old address or my new address as the update shows today\'s date.

What can I do to make sure that the cards will reach my new address.

What I\'ve Heard From Many People

Is that you needn\'t file for your address change.. Generally the envelope from the INS does NOT cary a DO NOT FORWARD stamp and so if you provide a fwding address to the post office, they should forward the letter.. Check out the board for some cases like yours and you\'ll get a rough picture.. I might have to change my residence but I\'m not gonna file for any change of address \'coz then the case takes a whole new loop.. Since you are moving to a different aptt. complex, you may place a courtsey request to the new occupant or meet them personally to give you a call if in case they rcv any cards from the INS and also please tell them that those cards are NOT credit cards or anything but they are your GCs.. I know a case of a friend of mine whose wife actually mistook the INS envelope as a regular envelop and threw the cards in the trash.. Later on did my frnd realise the blunder.. ;-))).. Lucky them that they did not throw the trash outside..

No Title

tutu, let me remind you one thing as per law you need to file ar-11 if you change your address within 10 days.
