I work for a company in San Diego and am on the final stages of GC.
Seems my employer is exploiting me because of this situation. I am being discriminated for salary raises, promotion and all other internal company issues. The worst came when my boss told me that they can cancel my GC even after approval if they want if I raised my voice. It seems just pure exploitation. What should I do in this situation, can I change my job immediately after the GC approval on any grounds. Can they stop my GC processing at this time if they want. Guys please help. I do have the documented facts that prove that they tried to discriminate against me.

If you stay for at least three months then you are ok. Meanwhile, document you experience and talk to a labor lawyer. Keep cool and you will be the one who laugh last.

While INS has not published regulations about job change, consensus
is that it is getting very difficult for employers or INS to cancel
a person\'s green card. I would suggest you try to stay in the same
company for 180 days, and then decide what to do next. It is a
very good idea to document what you have been badly treated in the
company. Hang in there.

Just keep cool and I think sooner or later someone will write a facts letter to the U.S. Government reporting this BAD situation. It is a situation happens in other companies, too. We can even bring this BAD company to the media and public if it is really a BAD one. But you must have a good evidence to support your words when you report these kind of thing.

Thanks Everybody, Your support keeps me going, guess they have a reason to retain me also in these bad times because they understand that if they lay me off at this time, I have enough reasons to go to the court. Anybody knowing a good labor lawyer whom I can talk to, dont have a lot fo money I can spent but if there are any state agencies or cheap and good lawyers, will be pleased to initiate discussions....I am not leaving these guys like that after what they are doing to me, they deserve that stress too.....
