How long can I delay the passport stamping?

I have to go for finger printing on 4/12/01. My wife and son have to go to India on May 31, 2001 and will come back on Sep 5, 2001. If I get the approval and they are not here, can I wait for passport stamping until they come back.

Is there any limit(number of days) to get passport stamped after 485 approval?
Can I also go without getting my passport stamped after 485 is approved? and get it stamped later.
What if I get my passport stamped and my wife & son do it later?

There is no time limit to get your passport stamped once your
case is approved. However, you should go alone and get it
done quickly to get yourself in the green card waiting queue.
Your son and wife can stamp theirs later.
