Hello Friends,

Can some please advice me on this doubt. I and my wife are going to apply for citizenship we filled up the form N-400. We also have a 13 yr old daughter. Do we need to fill up a N-600 form for her ?. Is there anything we need to do for my daughter. She too have a Green Card.

Many Thanks
Jacob

You don't need to do anything regarding your daughter now. After your (or your wife's) N-400 is approved, your daughter will automatically become a U.S. citizen under the provisions of the Child Citizenship Act. At that point you will be able to file N-600 for her, or to apply directly for a U.S. passport for her if you like. However, you cannot file N-600 for her now, until at least one of the parents is a U.S. citizen.
