Hi, I have couple questions on N-600 for my kid (now 14 years, turning to 15 in Sep second week).
Background:
I got my Citizenship by Naturalization last year and my wife is still on Green Card. My kid born outside US in 2008, she came to US in 2009, form that time my kid is on H4 as a dependent and got GC in 2016, my kid living currently in US from 2009, in between couple times we went out side US just for vacation (like 1 month to 1.5 months).

Now:
1) We applied my kids US Passport just couple weeks back, will it be better to wait until we get the Passport and apply for N-600? or can i do it both in Parallel?

2) Will there be any issues/concerns if we apply N-600 when my kid is 15 years (in Spt 2023) or will there be any advantage if i apply now (14 years now) ?

N-600 form filling questions:
3) Port-of-entry used to enter US - first time Port of entry or entry after getting the GC ?
3a) 'Travel Document did you use to admitted to the US' - my kid used Passport so which passport details we should give? Passport that we used when my kid entered US or the Passport that is current active ( we renewed passport couple times from the date my kid entered US to today)

4) 'Your father's country of citizenship or nationality' - I think i should mention as United States, correct? please confirm.

5) 'What dates did your U.S. citizen parent live in the US? - I think i should leave this blank as my kid is not a citizen by birth, correct?

6) 'Have you been absent from United States since you first arrived' - Do we need to enter our outside US vacation time?
when we are doing Online there is no place to enter the details.
when i check the paper form i see there is a place but it says ' Complete the following information only id you are claiming U.S. citizenship at the time of birth if you were born before Oct 10 1952', which doesn't belong to my kid, correct?

Thanks a lot for all your help

Why does your child need a Certificate of Citizenship, if their US passport already serves as a proof of citizenship?

Thank you newacct!, i'm 100% with you, just to be on safe side for future needs. I mean in case if they lost their Passport.

Can someone please share your experience with the above questions?

Why does your child need a Certificate of Citizenship, if their US passport already serves as a proof of citizenship?
Because if the derived citizen child loses the US Passport later in life, the Department of State becomes assholes if you don't have the form N-560.
