child biometrics appointment (appeal)

I am a bit confused as to what is going on with our case

September 2006: My wife and I did our FP/biometrics
Nov 2006 my EB1 (140) has been denied with the i-485
Dec 2006 we sent an Appeal

Today March second 2007 my son got biometrics appointment

Could someone can tell me what going on here, no update on my USCIS profile
