If a child was abducted by the other parent and is in illegal custody of the other parent, will there be any problem at the time of applying for citizenship? Can they set aside the application for investigation or still ask for proof of support to the child?
 
They will need proof. Possibly, a police complaint that you lodged for the abduction, assuming your spouse is the one having illegal custody.
Furthermore, isnt there a a seperation/divorce court order with parenting plan, property settlement etc in place ?
