Folks,
Had my passport stamped at Chicago office and thought should share my experience with you all.
I live South West of Chicago clost to IOWA. So it is almost a 3 hr drive for me. So coming from West we took 290E towards Chicago Loop. To avoid downtown traffic, parked my car at the Forest Park station and took the train to Jackson. USICS office is 2 minutes walk from there.
Upon reaching the office at around 6.30 am, we had to go through the security check. Then we were directed to another line to obtain tokens (1 per passport). After an hour or so our token numbers were called.
The lady officer asked for all our APs , EADs, Passport with I-94, 2 Photos, State ID. You need to write (in pencil) your name and A# behind the photos.
I had taken both front view and side view photos, but she just took the front view ones. She rejected my wife's pictures as she had ear rings and asked her to get a new set of photos without the ear rings. She did complete the stamping and finger printing for both of us.
We went to the studio next door to take the pictures and went back up to drop it off.
So it was a pretty smooth process. We were out by 9.30 am. I was told by that Lady office that it may take 8-12 months to get the card.
Hope this helps some of you folks.
Good luck..
