I had a noon time appointment today at Chicago regional passport office in downtown. Got there on time and took a number. By the time I had submitted application at window it was 12.45pm. Total fees paid $157.00. They told me to come at 3.00pm for collection. Got back just after 3pm, but it was 4pm by the time I got passport in hand.
For something that's taken so many many years and heartache to get it's a pretty flimsy document. What's worse is that it didn't feel all that good, almost felt like a traitor. But this chapter is over. Best of luck to you all.
