Chicago Labor

Hi,
After months of waiting I finally got hold of my attorney to find out what the status of my Labor was (submitted in Chicago for Federal Clearance on Nov 28 '03).
He goes thru the file and finds out that there was query from them asking for some numbers about the company.
Anyhow, can you guys give me an idea of how long it would take for a decision once the necessary paper work is sent to the authorities?
Thanks...

may take, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month or 1 year and even more, for my case reply was received by DOL in May 2003, Still waiting, case was received dec 2002. RIR (EB2).

So no fix time.

kgp,ur saying ur waiting from dec 02?? dude, there is something seriously wrong with ur case..it only takes a week and max. a month to approved after an RFE

May be u are right, but for your information from my company there are about 100 cases in same situation some of them waiting from September 2002.

well i think then ur company needs to investigate..there is no way there are any RIR cases from 2002 except non-RIR..my best guess is your company didn't choose RIR..check out the labor processing times urself

I know what's wrong, I was not asking you that what may be wrong with my case or company I just replied to yr question of "how long it may take", I know why its taking so long and my company is not the only one there, most of the big companies, who did thousands of lay offs are in the same boat.
