Chennail March,April slots are full!!

I was trying to book a slot for personal interview at Chennai Consulate through the Consulate website, i found that all the march,april,may and june slots are Red(means its not available as per the website).???
I just cant belive...Is it strage or is consulate is really booked!!!

Also How to get an appointment for H4 since there is no petiton number or visa expiration date for H4. Do i have to enter mine?

i am also looking for april availability. as far as i know march is full and april hasnt opened yet. I have been monitoring for a while now. If there is no availability in chennai, you can send an email to chennai and ask if you can take an appt in other jurisdiction. That should help in taking an apt in calcutta or delhi
 
All,
Even though, Chennai Consulate has opened the dates recently for Personal Interview for the month of April, I don't see anything in the first, second or third week of April. Anyone has any idea? I need interview during second week, as I am planning to return by then.. Please update. ...:confused:

you are late. appts were available until 8th and the week after they do not have any non immigrant visa applications and also some holidays. after 8th available was for 19th until end of the month which is being filled up soon.

try to take an appt at the earliest available time and keep checking everyday frequently for available appointments in between(some people cancel later on), so you can modify your appt.

Does H4(first time stamping) need to go for personal Interview? in chennai? Can we use drop box method?
I am badly need of appointment around March 16th and its full,april are getting filled .Earliest available appointment is 23(as of today). Is there any other ways to get appointment
I have called Calcutta consulate. They say i have to apply in chennai consulate , cant apply in culcutta as i am a south indian resident itseems.
Does anybody know alternates?? or alternates for getting appointment.

jay,
there are no other alternatives or way around it . there are absolutely no non-immigrant visa's being issued from 9th until 18th. What you can do is schedule for the earliest and then reschedule on a previous day depending on cancelled appointments. I have an appt in the 3rd week.

No drop box for 1st time visa. for first time H-4 --- personal interview needed. Consulate's are now strict about jurisdiction.
