Chennai visa stamping for 3 weeks with pending H1B extension approval

Hello Gurus,

Need some serious advice...

- Got Chennai consulate appoint in 2nd week of April.
- My current H1B (6 years) is expiring during May 1st week, and
- My new H1B 7th year extension seems may not get approved before I leave US (end of this month).
- Work for a very big, world wide known global company

* Will Chennai consulate have any issue stamping my visa even though I have only 3 weeks of visa left on current I-797?

* Any recommendations/suggestions?
