CHennai --no interview for my parents...help

As per the NVC, they have sent all the documents to chennai consulate. two months back. We have gathered all documents(including PCC) and waiting for the interview date(IR5 category)

Should we wait for the interview application packet or let the consulate know that we are ready so that they can send us the Application packet.

Mumbai consulate took more than 2 months to schedule our interview in March. Towards the end of last year, Chennai seemed pretty good in scheduling interviews within two months. You can check Jenimmi's thread "Parents CP in Chennai" in this forum for experiences in Chennai. However that can vary depending upon current load.

In general, the consulate will schedule on its own and let you know. I am sure that you have been checking their website for the interviews scheduled for the next month. You can send them email to inquire status.
