Chennai H4 rejections/queries

Hi Guys

Seen a lot of postings on people having issues getting H4 visa ( and even H1) and in some cases where people have been in the US for couple of years..

My questions is there a trend that if are in working a specific area or work for a relatively small company(maybe even small consulting firm) you are more than likely to get rejected...

Depends upon the Employer

Thats true, Now a days Chennai consulate is very strict to issue visa for H4. These are the examples I heard from my friends.

1. Employer Based Query : My friend is working with one small concern. His employer also working some other concern. His employer is having only 2 consultants, They are also working in the same concern where his employer is working. Even though they don't have any website for that Employer. ( His h4 got query)

2. Salary Based Query : Another friend of mine was in bench more than 7 months last year. He worked only 5 months in a project. His last year W2 shows only 4 months salary ( Apox 12K ). But his employer mentioned 55K salary on his LCA. ( His H4 got query)

Any how they didn't reject any H4. But they put query on most cases.

If you are working in good concern and having 75% salary on your LCA, Don't worry about H4 stamping in chennai.

HI to all,

Chennai consulate is strict about W2's,We got the Query for H4,
asking for all years W2's.I think the total wages for that year shoud be 40 K Minimum.Consulate is saying that we are not able to issue visa now under section 212(a).I had some of the W2 with less total gross.We don't know when to apply for visa second time.
