Chennai CP lines

Hi there,
I have an appointment at the Chennai U.S consulate. The time given to me is 8.30am.

Any of you guys who've been through this: By what time is it better if I'm at the consulate? Just worried about the lines.

Also, how much time did it take you to get the lab work and medical tests done? I don't stay in Chennai, so I have to plan my trip accordingly.

I'd appreciate your help. Thanks.

For immigrant visa's there would be no lines.
You can enter the consulate rightaway with your appointment letter.

Lab tests will take around an hour in the morning and another 30 mins to pick up the results in the evening. It depends on the wait time on that day. for medical tests normally 30 mins is the actual time it takes. But it all depends on the number of people ahead of you.
