Folks,
I am starting this new thread as this message was not getting the visibility it requires.
I read from immihelp that Chennai consulate is not accepting the affidavit for birth certificate if the same is not available. This is real bad news for all CP'ers like me.

Moreover, it appears that the link on this webpage of chennai consulate has been disabled where it says (if unobtainable click here).

Can anyone investigate this to see whether this is true? What are the alternatives?
