I am preparing PERM filing. My education background is chemical engineering. and my current job title is process engineer. My laywer said it is better to ask my employer to give me a title of "Senior process engineer" so that I can use master degree plus 1 year experience. By doing this, there is a good chance that I can be qualified as EB2. I have the following questions:
1. Will master degree plus 1 yr experince qualify EB2 for my case?
2. Chemical engineering has very high PW(there is no way for me to catch up that PW). I checked the Industry engineer definition in Onet. Process engineer is one of the sample job title. Can I use Industry engineer for my job code? Will that job code qualify for EB2?
3.My lawyer said the DOL look at the education background to determine the PW, not the job description. Is that true.
