Checks cashed - Receipt Number generated?

Hi ,
I recently applied for my EAD and noticed that my the check,I sent along with I-765 ,was encashed by USCIS.Does this mean the receipt number has been generated for my petition at the same time?Can i call USCIS to get the receipt number without waiting 30 days?

On the back side of your encashed check you must find your receipt number.
There is no needs to call to USCIS.

Yes,
You will get receipt notice if u apply for only AP or EAD. However, not the case for 485.
