Hello

I was worried whether my checks will be processes or not since I made it USCIS and luckly went thru.

DO: St. Paul, MN
Mailed to NSC: 4/14/05
Received: 4/16/05
Checks Cashed: 4/20/05

Here is my question:

On top of the each check, I see a handwritten info some thing like: LIN 772 ###, a LIN followed by 6 digit number. I am just wondering what this is? Please let me know what that means.

Thanks

Pradeep

I too was confused about some of the writings on my check including LIN$numbers.. But I would not really worry about those numbers, as they appear to be something internal to INS. However the LIN*<9 numerics> is what you want to use for tracking your status.

So far I have had no luck with online status check. Hope you have better luck. Also share your experience with FP, IP dates etc. as you go further into the process.

Best of luck
Ravi

This is your appplication receipt number, although not in the complete and proper format that you'll see when you soon get the actual receipt notice. The correct format is LIN*000772### (yes, the * is part of the actual receipt number for naturalization cases).
