Hi,
My company applied for the I-140 & I-485 concurrently in August 2004. As per the USCIS website they are processing applications received on/later than Nov. 2004!
After an LUD change on 3/15/05 there has been no change in the online case status message for my application. The comparny attorneys have initiated an inquiry with the USCIS to see what's happening on my case. We have not received any response for this inquiry so far.
I have been reading the messages on the forum and it appears that there is a possibility that my application could be pending a name check clearance from the FBI.
I tried to call the FBI @ 202.324.3000 and the person in the name check department asked me to send an e-mail to fbinncp@ic.fbi.gov with my details.
The officer @ FBI mentioned that there is a lead time of 2-3 months before the mail gets read and sent a response! The officer also mentioned that the whole name check process takes between 3-4 months.
Is there a faster way to know the status on my application? Please advise.
Regards,
