Since I found out they received my I-485 RFE response on September 1st. I have been check the online status about 10 times a day, waiting to see something happening. Is this normal or I have gone crazy?

It happen with everybody! So dont be panic if we can wait for years but is the big deal for few months???? Good luck

It is called LUD mania.
Medically it is a dysfunction which has hit almost all members of this forum.
It usually goes either when you get a approval email ( in some cases it lingers on till you get your plastic) or when your case gets transfered to a local office
:D :p

Careful here,

For your GC you will have to give a print of your index finger. If you keep clicking on that 'check status' button too often, you will develop callus (thickened skin) on your index finger and you will be ineligible for a GC on that grounds :-))))))

Clicking on the case status excessively is a known psychopathology.

If you want to know how this works, read the works of Kuebler-Ross on how people deal with the news that they will die soon.

It goes through phases.
-- At time, usually after RFE responses people will keep checking for LUD changes up to 20/hour (eventually leading to lockout by the CIS computer).
-- At some point this is followed by 'I just don't care anymore', a status of complete resignation and submission to the system.
-- Later, a new resurgence of 'case status obsession' will get hold of you, leading to posts on this forum like: 'my LUD hasn't changed in x days, is that a bad sign'.

There is only one known cure for the disease: It is called I797 and contains a two line message with the words 'has been approved' in it.

I usually do it about 6-7 times a day, right after the hour. Seems most LUD changes and especially online messages/emails are done around 1-2 minutes after.
I also have my pager set, so I'll get the email instantly, in case I miss it. :D
Pranoid? LUD maniac? Yeah, this what a GC process will drive you to.
