For your GC you will have to give a print of your index finger. If you keep clicking on that 'check status' button too often, you will develop callus (thickened skin) on your index finger and you will be ineligible for a GC on that grounds

Clicking on the case status excessively is a known psychopathology.
If you want to know how this works, read the works of Kuebler-Ross on how people deal with the news that they will die soon.
It goes through phases.
-- At time, usually after RFE responses people will keep checking for LUD changes up to 20/hour (eventually leading to lockout by the CIS computer).
-- At some point this is followed by 'I just don't care anymore', a status of complete resignation and submission to the system.
-- Later, a new resurgence of 'case status obsession' will get hold of you, leading to posts on this forum like: 'my LUD hasn't changed in x days, is that a bad sign'.
There is only one known cure for the disease: It is called I797 and contains a two line message with the words 'has been approved' in it.
