Checking status of citizenship application

Is there a way to check the status of citizenship application ?
In the receival application notice there is no recipt number. So USCIS website doesn't give any information.

My and my spouses interview were on the same day, she got the invitation for oath. I haven't got it. So I was wondering if three is a way to check the status with the application number.

Any thoughts.

Hello. I think the application number is the same thing as the receipt number. You can also call USCIS' customer service at 800-375-5283. I think 3 is the option if you don't have your receipt number. That will transfer you to an operator. Tell the operator that you don't have any receipt number and they'll hopefully transfer you to someone that can look up your file using your A#.

That helped, actually USCIS had posted me invitation for oath ceremony .
I could confirm the date and location over the phone.
