Checking I485 Status - Online

If you check the status of your I-485 frequently on BCIS site, does it affect your case anyway? Does it go on your file?

Even if you don't do it, people running the script are doing it. But I don't think it affects your application. Otherwise no one will be approved. I checked my AP 3-4 times daily, it got approved.

Not unless Mr. Ashcroft considers you to be a material witness, in which case, it may be go into your rapsheet that you helped precipitate a 'denial of service' attack on BCIS's computers!

Not that it matters really, because if you are deemed to be a material witness, you would be in Guantanomo anyway with no controlling sovereign legal authority!
