Check Payment - U.S. Department of Homeland Security

Mailed the N400 packet for children and just now realized that I had the check payable to "Department of Homeland Security". I missed to write U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Do I need to go make an Infopass appointment and let them know?

You should be fine. No need to panic.

It does not matter. In the past people wrote check in various ways, USCIS, CIS, DHS. AT one time
a clerk whose initial happened to be CIS cahed many checks for herself and dumped many application.
So USCIS advise applicants to write full name of agency
