check dilemma - any advice?

hi everyone,

I mailed my package to Vermont Service center for I751 but stupid me did not read the instruction for the Payee of the check.

It clearly says on the instruction to make it payable to US Department of Homeland Security and NOT to abbreviate but I made my check payable to USCIS.

I tried to catch the mail in transit to retract it but it was already delivered. Anyone have an idea what could possibly happen? Has anyone done the same thing here?
 
If there is an issue they will return it (with your application). I have no experience on this, but it is likely that the check will be returned if they have an issue. It should take about 2 weeks.

I have put in USCIS too, My check got encashed, We filed through a lawyer and he asked us to put that .

Hope that your situation is like that of RPT1020. Pray that it gets cashed so that it doesn't delay your process...;)

I do hope it is same as RPT1020. I already wasted a month before filing my papers because of work issues getting me tied up so I don't want any more delays.
