So I took an infopass appointment about 2 months ago and was told that all my security checks were clear and just had to wait to be adjudicated. So I've continued to wait but today thought I'd give NSC a call and see where things are at. Upon speaking with the IO, he informs me that unfortunately my security checks aren't cleared :confused:

I then told him that the IO at my infopass appointment had told me that they were already cleared, at which point he started going on about how there are truckloads of security information that has been 'cleared' but not 'entered' and that this must be the problem with my case.

Its so frustrating that these people hold our futures in their hands.

Sorry...just needed to vent...
 
I can understand your feeling. Last year I got a mail saying my application is waiting for visa availability... i was so happy to see that, and the visa bulletin is current, called nsc last week just like that and found my application is undergoing security check.. i was broken. couldnt believe they contradict so much.

now, just write letters to them asking status, dont know what else to do.
 
I called USCIS today and found out that my name check is still pending. :mad:

Interestingly when my wife called yesterday, they said her name check is cleared and my case status looks the same ??!!:confused:

And now I have to apply for my 4th EAD & AP
