Changing the Job after GC

Hello all,
my GC was approved on 4/29/05. Now I am planning to change my employer?. can I change my employer without getting my GC revoked . I was consulting with my lawyer and he was saying that employer can justify to USCIS and revoke the GC if you are not going to be with them for atleast 6 months. Anybody in this forum have any thought on this. Please help me!!!!!

try to stick with ur employer for a month or two after approval, that's about it..

if u r changing ur job within the same professional area - e.g. software - u r totally cool - employer can't do anything about it.

but if u r changing from writing software to selling donuts - then ur employer may have a case...

If employer cannot revoke your I-485 after I-140 approval, what can he do to your GC?
