Both my wife and I status is H1-B.
My wife's H1 visa will be expired on 01/07/2007
(after 2nd extention for full 6 years).
My H1 visa will be expired on 10/25/2005
(after 2nd extention for full 6 years).
Our EAD and AP has been approved.
ND:11/10/2003.
Since we want to save the validity of our H1 visa (for any case that our GC won't go well), we were wondering how to change our status from H1 to AP.
Do we have to leave the US and come back with the AP?
By doing so, do we realy save the validity of the H1?
Do we need to notify the employer for this such of action?
Gurus, please advise us what to do.
