Hi people I got mt immigrant visa in January with my port of entry being New York since that's where my sponsor lives. However I intend to go to Texas Houston instead. Do I need to notify anyone or should I just proceed to Texas? I have looked for the info on the visa and immigration websites without success. Anyone with experience and/or lead please help me out thanks.

You can land at any international airport. It is the land of the free, after all:)

You can change your point of entry. Just have hour new address ready and give it to the immigration official at the airport. You don't need to notify anyone before you travel.

You land wherever you want.

The only caveat might be that the CO could ask for evidence that you are emigrating and not just visiting, so you should point out you'll be living in Texas and not NY.
