Changing Jobs during I-485 pending (<180 days)

I am working for a company A (east coast) for the past 3 years on H1, who sponsored for my green card. Filed for 485 (RD:11/30/2001, no EAD/AP received yet) based on my LC "software Engineer $69,250"

This month my project with a client elsewhere is over. My company A won\'t pay me and i found another job (west coast), only way to get that is H1 transfer. (may be with same title and salary and job description)

1. What should i do to take up this job without affecting GC? (if there is no way of salvaging GC if i go for H1 transfer, i would rather forget about the new H1 job, and await for a project (bench-no pay-no pay stubs)

2. Or shall i go ahead with H1 transfer and come back and jo in my company A after 6 months? (that way showing intent of joining GC job)

3. What else can i do to save my GC, in case i don\'t get a project for 6 months of 485 filing? (assuming my company won\'t lay off, maitaining H status, bench, no pay, effectively leave of absence,won\'t inform INS)

4. What kind of help i need from my sponsoring company? Letter of intent to hire me after getting GC , pay stub etc

5. What role EAD plays to help me here, if at all it does?

6. What if i take 180 days leave of absence and come back to save my GC, instead? If a RFE comes, how do i provide pay stubs, if they ask for?? What\'s the best course of action??

thanks very much.

Talk with your new employer for subcontracting for 180 days, then you go to new employer\'s payrole after 180 days.

GV, thx..but contract to hire and subcontracting didn\'t work so far. still efforts are on. I don\'t expect it\'s easy to get another job..so desparate.

If your new employer agrees for subcontracting, you talk with your current employer and explain the situation, if both agrees then you are all set. If at all you get any RFE after 180 days, as per AC21 law you can produce new employers paystub.
