changing job question: 1485 over a year

I have a friend in the following situation:

Company A sponsered I140, I485, AP, and EDA.
His I140 approved one year ago. I485 pending over one year.
He is currently working for Company A with EAD for the 2ed year.

Question: Can he change to another job? What if the company A cancel the sponser? Do the new company have to continue sponser him? What are the worst consequences?

your friend can use ac21 act to change employer. note that the job should be "same or similar". its better to have good talk with some lawyer and the prospective employer to avoid any future troubles.

HIS CURRENT COMPANY CANNOT CANCEL HIS GREENCARD NOW AS HE AS GOT I140 APPROVED AND HIS I485 HAS BEEN PENDING FOR MORE THAN 180 DAYS.

his new company should support him to provide enough documents to support his greencard.

Sure,
tha's what the AC21 states. But BCIS may revoke ur I140 if your existing company requets the one. You will have to then file for "Motion to re-open". The worst thing is if ur on a EAD you might have to go back to ur home country and wait for BCIS to conclude on UR case.
