Changing Job After 180 Days Using EAD

Hello Gurus,

please help with my situation.
Applied for 485 more than 180 days. Got my EAD but not AP.
I am planning to change job as I got good offer.
Could anyone please let me know what are the consequences in doing so with my current employer and also with BCIS.
What steps do I need to take care before doing so?

Hi,

I would say just go for it. No point in getting stuck at a job just for GC. Its not worth it.

You need to:
* Ensure that the new job is in the same line and the salary is not too less (which I see its not) compared to your current job.)

* File the AC-21 letter with the INS with EVL from new employer.

* Show that you are more than 180 days waiting for AOS.

* Even if your old employee gets mad and informs the INS, there are probably minimal consequences.. thats what the whole damn AC-21 is all about.

But please.. TALK to the lawyer first and do it asap before the employer changes his mind.
