I currently work for a design automation company (we develop software tools in c/c++ for chip design) where I am an "R&D eng" and I plan to switch to a financial software company as a "software engineer" developing financial products in c/c++.
My current employer used a labor substitute for my I-140/485 application, using a labor cert that desscribes job as (to paraphrase) "develop tools for integrated circuits". Does not mention c/c++ anywhere.
I am wondering if these two jobs will be considered "same or similar" as reqd by ac21. Any help?
PS: I-140 has been approved on sub labor cert and 180 days requirement is met.
