Changing from AOS to CP

Hi,

I selected AOS when I filed my I-485 and based on the paste this process is going, I am thinking of filing I-824 and change to Consular Processing.

Knowing that

-My H1 still valid
-The I-824 is 2 years ahead of the AOS
-Filing of I-824 can delay the processing considerably
-Consular processing can be done even if you are using EAD, as long as you didn't file I-485 just for the sake of getting EAD and then promptly apply for CP. That way you abuse both the systems and invite otherwise avoidable problems.

Would you suggest filing the I-824 ?

Thank you for the info Manolacho... Too bad some lawyers don't care much to explain your options.

I would have to go to Canada and I need to check if they accept AC140.
 
ac-140 consulates

If you go to immihelp.com and select the “consular processing” link under greencard section and then go through AC-140 you will see the list of consulates that do this. Don’t know how updated this list is.
