Changing from AOS to CP

1. My NSC 140 case RD is Sept 27 and I had applied with AOS option. The 485 RD is also Sept 27,2003.
I am thinking of going for Consular Processing. If I apply for 824, is there sufficient data to assume that NSC would move the 140 case from AOS queue and put it in some CP queue where 140 case gets processed faster?
(In NSC the CP bsed 140 cases seem to be getting processed faster than the AOS)
- Is there a concept of seperate queues at the 140 stage itself?

2. If I decide to go for CP, at this point of time, do I have to just file for I824 and wait till the 140 case gets approved ?
3. Can I schedule an interview with the consulate based on the Receipt number of 824 application, even without the 140 approval?
4. Finally, a question of ignorance...my 140 case was all prepared by an attorney...is this same as AC140?

{Yes, you already know the rule }

{No, you can't do that. You need to wait till your I-140 gets approved and then you can file AC-140 along with the receipt or approved I-824 application }

4. Finally, a question of ignorance...my 140 case was all prepared by an attorney...is this same as AC140?

{No, it is different. Browse through immihelp.com for AC-140 detail you will get a better idea }
