I had recently received my EAD and my 485 has been pending for less than 180 days. Can i change employers now?

If i wait for 180 days, will my old employer NOT be able to withdraw the I-140.

Please advice.

The I-140 belongs to employer.....and he can revoke it anytime.....

while your I-485 is pending....Even when your I-485 is approved....say 1 month after I-485 approval....he can still revoke it...

If 6 months clocks from 485 RD has passed - then your approved I-140 gets wings.....and goes into Virtual Reality (Hee Hee)
(It becomes portable) and your I-485 can stay on.....

Your employer can revoke it anytime, before 6 months from 485 RD or even after 6 months from 485 RD......
it's his free will...but you can hang on to your I-140 - thx to Virtual Reality wings (Hee Hee)...after 6 months from 485 RD

I think.. as soon as your I140 got approved. The PD is yours to keep.
But, if you are changing a new company without able to invoke the AC21, you can have your new company to start the new PERM process for you and then you can port your original PD.

If your I140 approved and I485 filed over 180 days. It is your right to invoke AC21 as long as you have a same or similar job.
