Jim or other gurus,
I need help from you all.
My I-140 was approved on Dec 2001 and I-485 was filed on Apr 2002. Got EAd card on Aug-2002 and FP on Dec2002.
Already applied for renewing EAD card has it is expiring on Aug-2003 and so my H1.
Now I need to change a employer .
Can i go ahead without any worries.
Like wha will happend if my employer revoked my I-140.?
What would be my status? Would I loose my 485 and EAD card also?
Pls do let me know.
Thanks,

nop, the best thing is to stay with employer, but if you forsee any problem, then you want to take risk of changing employer
because Ac21 has lots of gray area, mostly you won't run into problem, but I don't want to say it's risk free, it might create problem in GC renew or Citizanship

it shouldn't effect your I-485 application by one of Ac21 interpretation, but obviously it create complication to your process, so i would try to keep smooth relationship if possible

You will be adjustee as legal status, and I-485 / EAd is your application unlike I-140/ LC which were your employer application.
So you shouldn't loose your I-485 under Ac21 if you find similar job, and you can apply for EAd by yourself

Pls do let me know.
Thanks,

reagrding i-485

JBm,
I understand that. But as I got permanent offer at other client with same title and job description.
I know there are lots gray areas in ac21.
But can still my employer create problem for me. I would definetly resign from company with good relations.
But i still hear someone saying that as it isn >365 days u should not have prblem. some one say as i-140 is approved and >180 days your employer would not have rights to revoked that.
so pls do let me know.
Thanks
