Changing company while on L1-B with H1-B approval

Hi,

I am working in a company on a L1-B visa and i have a H1-B approval in 2009 quota from the same company. Basically the same applied for H1-B and got an approval. But I did not get the stamping done so I am still working with L1-B status.

Can I change company now? Or should i get the stamping done and enter US with H1-B status and then change company?

Can a H1-B approval be transferred from one company to another?
