Changing Comapanies while waiting for priority dates

Hello,
I got my labor cleared through PERM process, and my I140 also has been cleared, and my priority dates are September 8th 2006. Now I will have to wait until my priority dates get current to apply for I485.
What are my risks if I change to another employer? will I loose everything and will I need to start all over again?
Also can I go to India and come back to US to apply (or apply from India itself) for I145 when my dates get current?

Please help!!!

This whole process has to start from scratch when you move to new company (new labor, new priority date, I140 etc ....)

This whole process has to start from scratch when you move to new company (new labor I140 etc ) but you keep your PD

You can go to India and come back to apply 485 if your 140 employer can still provide employment verification letter for a permanent position then.

If you come back to US many years later and want to apply new labor and green card through a new employer, you still keep your current priority date.
