Changing citizenship after receiving GC

I applied for my GC and received it while an Indian citizen. Since then I have received my Canadian citizenship. Is it ok to travel with my GC and my Canadian passport or do I need to inform the INS of my change in nationality?
Thanks

Deguchi, did you get your Indian passport or your Canadian passport stamped when you got your GC? I had just taken my Canadian citizenship test and are in the process of GC.
I don't think the problem with change of citizenship will come up until you want to apply for US citizenship. Then you have to tell them when you changed your citizenship and why they don't have it on their record.

I changed citizenship before I received my stamp but they would only stamp the Indian passport because that is what they had on file. I still haven't received the physical card so I still use the Indian when coming into the US.

Is your Indian passport even valid now that you are a Canadian citizen? India does not allow dual-citizenship. There was talk of changing this; has the GOI already made the change to allow it?

I think it has been passed. But this needs to be confirmed. A statement on Indian Embassy's website in DC says "The Indian Parliament on December 22, 2003 has passed a Bill to grant dual citizenship to the people of Indian origin. The Bill received the President's assent on January 7, 2004. The Bill is likely to be laid on the table of both the Houses of the Parliament in the forthcoming June 2004 session."

I am not hip with the law making process in India, so I am not sure why the bill is going to be "laid" on the table of both Houses if the Parliment has already passed it!

But the site goes on further to say that, "The rules, regulations and requirements are still under process and our web site will be updated on this as and when instructions are received from Government of India."

Here is the acutal link:

I would like to hear from someone who knows more about Indian Politics and find out what exactly needs to transpire in the Parliment for this to become a law.
