Changes needed for the Citizenship process

It is absurd to have a timeline of 3 months or more for Citizenship in the guise of security. People applying for Citizenship are those who went thru the Green Card process where they would have done the clearance for name check etc. Also once the application has been entered into the system, why cant the ASC do the Citizenship test using the computers like the DMV when we go for the Fingerprinting. The evidence is there in the computer and then it saves the trip to INS Office. The officer in charge of the file can look into the file and send an approval letter if deemed fit to the applicant to go to the Oath taking ceremony.

If they can make a mountain of a mole hill the N400 is the best example.....

Oh well they atleast have a promise to keep now...They have reduced the timelines a lot and have promised to less than 6 months in the latest report starting this october. I think they are getting there...

Right,
All the other governmental agencies went electronic long time ago, even local county and town governments have websites with forms to fill out and file.

Why not file electronically, get correspondence electronically, get tested electronically, only fingerprinting and interrogation I guess can't be done electronically.

Why we have to be attached to our physicall addresses like in 18 century. It is globalization and virtual reality times, after all. Life could be so much better with an attachment to an email address only.
