Changes in Social Security Card after getting GC

Hi Friends,
First of all i would like to 'Congratulate' to all who received their GC and good luck to those who are waiting for their approvals. We received the 'Cards' yesterday . Do we have to inform to 'Social Security Office' about our new 'Immigrant Status' and get the new card with no restrictions ? My Social Security Card says 'Valid for Work Only with DHS Authorization' . Any suggestions ?

Congrat... to u. U have to go to the SS office with ur GC and a state id and apply for the Unrestricted SS card. You SS# will be the same but the card will not have anything written on it but just ur name and ss#. Good lucky
