Your case is on the move, but you got RFE , they need some crap evidence to approve your case. But you are very near to get the approval. May be in a month time. If you are in the same type of job ( which is mentioned in your LC) then you are perfectly ok. If you are with same employer having all the w2 and paystubs then you are 200% ok. Go and start enjoying , you will be a free man in a while..........

I have a pending 3rd Employment Card renewal case since 22 March, may not be needed

An RFE is a "Request for Evidence". USCIS sends RFEs when they want to verify your status, your current job, or if anything was missing or incorrent like your medicals, or something else. They send an RFE to ask you to correct or show proof for something when they are trying to approve your case. An RFE must be replied to quickly. So when you get the request, move quickly to get the info they want sent back them. When they get the correct info from you they should approve your case soon.
