i became citizen last month and applied and received usa passport same month.

this month, i get married and changed my name and have court order for name change.

i already showed court order to DMV who issued me a new driver license with new name.

the passport people tell me to send certified court order of name change and current usa passport & 2 photos and they will make for me a new usa passport with new name. they say this is free service for me because my usa passport is only 1 month old.

i however am wondering if it necessary for me to apply to the uscis immigration office to get a new certificate of naturalization with new name or not?

i would like to thank anyone who provide advice. :)

you don't need to change the name on your naturalization certificate. look at it as your birth certificate (which does not change in name after you get married).
