My details are:
I485 applied: aug 1999.
I485 approved: july 2001. (employment based greencard)
October 2001: Took a paycut of about 5% due to the sudden crash of jobs and layoffs going on after september 11.
Changed job after 3 months in nov 2001. (My contract with company A, ended october end. But I was still paid. But There was a very high possibility to go unpaid in a few weeks.)

Will this affect my citizenship as I changed job only after 3 months after getting my greencard.
Does having a salary cut a compelling reason to change job?
Is anyone else in a position similar to mine?

During the end of my AOS, The 180 day portability was passed. (Just a couple of weeks before my I485 approval). So I am not sure if I will be counted as a beneficiary of that bill or not. Even if I am counted as a beneficiary, I changed job after my greencard. So I do not know even if that rule applies to me.

Guru's please help as I freaking out as I plan to applying for citizenship in a month.

I am not a legal expert on this subject but I have not come across any case where somebody ran into trouble because of change in employmnet similar to yours. I myself was in your shoes back in 2000 and did not face any problem during my naturaliazation process. The employment history was right in the application and the officer reviewed it point by point and did not say a thing about leaving the sponsoring employer after 2 months. If you want the correct answer, you should consult a lawer that is well versed in immigation laws. Most of the people here on this forum give answers based on their observation of cases. I don't think anybody on this forum is an authority on the subject to give you the correct answer.
