Hi,
I applied for my BL1 in april in india and got approval in may 2005. I am in US currently on BL1 . My L1 visa is valid till May 2006 and I-94 is valid till Dec 2006.
I have applied for H1B in april 2005 through my consultant and the receipt date is 27th april 2005.
a) Now once my H1 gets approved can i apply for COS separately (COS from L1 to H1) ?
b) Is it necessary that H1 should be applied after L1 in order to do COS ?.
In my Case H1 was applied first (april 2005) followed by L1 (may 2005)
c) Also how long does it take to get the COS approval ( approximate time)
